A4 allroad quattro Audi S4 Saloon

The A4 models employ TFSI technology. And the
remarkable thing about it is that it combines the
advantages of FSI with a supercharger, which en-
sures even better power delivery. All TFSI engines
are equipped with a start-stop system as standard.
The 1.8 TFSI has 125 kW of power and a maximum
torque of 320 Nm. It is one of the most fuel-
efficient engines of its class. The Audi valvelift
system lowers consumption, and the engine
reaches its operating temperature faster thanks
to intelligent thermal management. At the
same time, this directs heat to the interior, which
increases your comfort and helps to lower fuel
consumption. With its 165kW, the 2.0 TFSI
has an output rating of up to 350Nm. It is
characterised by good consumption values and
low CO₂ emissions. Both engines already fulfil
the EU6 emission standard. The 2.0 TFSI engine
with 132kW can also be operated with ethanol
fuel E85. An additional contribution to reducing
the carbon footprint, since this fuel is produced
from renewable resources. The most powerful
TFSI engine of the series, which is equipped with
an innovative mechanical supercharging system
with intercooling, is featured in the Audi S4. It
turns the 3.0 TFSI V6 into a compact powerhouse
– but one with moderate fuel consumption.
The fuel consumption and CO₂ emission figures can be found from page 108 onwards.
In just a few seconds you will understand why.
