A2DP: Advanced Audio
Distribution Profile
This converts normal audio files, such as
MP3 files in a cellphone or a computer, into
streaming stereo music. Many new cellphones
are being made with this feature built-in.
AVRCP: Audio Visual Remote
Control Profile
This feature allows the user to control the
output of one device from a remote device.
For example, if you are listening to music on
your STB-2882 stereo headphones from your
cellphone, you can control the functions of the
cellphone by using the headphone controls for
volume, call transfer, etc.
Audio Adapter (Dongle):
Some devices don’t support transmitting
via Bluetooth , or don’t support stereo sound.
An audio adapter, sometimes called a stereo
“dongle”, will allow the device to transmit in
Bluetooth stereo. Typical adapters will be used
for CD players, Mp3 players, computers or
iPods. They will usually plug into a standard
USB port or 3.5mm jack, and allow for wireless
connections between many kinds of devices.
