2. Using the RS-232 cable supplied, connect one end to the on-board RS-232 port and the other end to serial COM
Port 1 (recommended) on the host PC.
3. Power-on the board controller.
Note: The power connector can only be inserted in one way, with the tag facing towards the LCD screen.
4. Press the global reset (GL_RESET) button on-board before every demonstration (Figure 5-4).

5. Start the System Management software.
6. Ensure that the System Management software is communicating with the board by pressing the buttons on the board
and awaiting its graphical response in the Board Status tab. If you have any problems, check that the cables are
correctly and fully inserted and repeat steps 1 to 6.
7. Wait for voltages and currents in the Board Status tab to reach a steady state (this may take several minutes).
