CAUTIONCAUTION
Do not restart the FastStream or
disconnect or power cycle drives during
RAID migration. Data could be
compromised or lost.
1 Ensure the drives you are using are initialized
following the instructions in Initialize and verify
drives on page 21
2 Follow the instructions in Preliminary steps
on
page 21 and click on the Manage menu item on
the left side of the page and then the RAID
Groups arrow.
3 Click on the RAID Migration button.
4 Click on Next.
5 Follow the on-screen directions. When you
have made your changes, click on Commit.
6 A warning box appears.
If you want to continue click Yes. The
configuration completes and the Health and
Status Monitor page appears.
If you wish to start over, click No.The Setup
Wizard page appears.
Modify RAID group mapping
You may change the way a RAID group's LUNs
are mapped to each port.
1 Follow the instructions in Preliminary steps on
page 21 and click on the Manage menu item on
the left side of the page and then the RAID
Groups arrow.
2 Click on the Modify RAID Group Mapping
button.
3 Click on Next.
4 Follow the on-screen directions. When you
have made your changes, click on Commit.
5 A warning box appears.
If you want to continue click Yes. The
configuration completes and the Health and
Status Monitor page appears.
If you wish to start over, click No.The Setup
Wizard page appears.
Modify RAID group partitions
For an explanation of partitions, refer to
Partition
RAID groups
on page 11.
1 Follow the instructions in Preliminary steps on
page 21 and click on the Manage menu item on
the left side of the page and then the RAID
Groups arrow.
2 Click on the Modify RAID Group Partitioning
button.
3 Click on Next.
4 Follow the on-screen directions. When you
have made your changes, click on Commit.
5 A warning box appears.
If you want to continue click Yes. The
configuration completes and the Health and
Status Monitor page appears.
If you wish to start over, click No.The Setup
Wizard page appears.
Rebuild RAID groups
If RAID groups become compromised in some
fashion, you must rebuild groups.
Note
A RAID rebuild may take up to two hours to
complete.
1 Follow the instructions in Preliminary steps on
page 21 and click on the Manage menu item on
the left side of the page and then the RAID
Groups arrow.
2 Click on the Rebuild RAID groups button.
3 Click on Next.
4 Follow the on-screen directions.
