An alert may be mailed to 0, 1 or more valid mail addresses. The alert
does not contain the text of the Sms. It is used to inform the
Sms4Domino administrator that some unroutable SMS has been
received.
Should the SMS be kept in the Sms4Domino database. Doing so
gives the Sms4Domino administrator the opportunity to read and
forward the SMS manually.
What should be the apparent sender of the mail that forward the
received SMS or alert message. The apparent sender is composed of
three or two parts
<Name>@<Number>@<Domino domain name> or
<Number>@<Domino domain name>
The <Name> and <Domain domain name> must be specified. The
<Domino domain name> must be configured in the Domino directory
as a Foreign Domain. The <Number> will be extracted dynamicallay
from the received SMS message. This allows the Notes user to reply
via mail to the inbound SMS.
Heartbeat interval Heartbeat documents are created dynamically by a running instance. A
document created by Instance x informs all other instances that x is still
running and provides an estimation of the current workload for x.
The hearbeat documents replicate through the Sms4Domino network.
Single instance configurations do not require regular updates of the
heartbeat document. A negative value for this parameter results in the
creation of a heartbeat document at program start.
Recommended value: 60 seconds for multi-instance configurations. -1 for
single instance configurations.
Hearbeat max age When evaluating the health records of the Sms4Domino instances, the
records that have not been updated since the specified number of seconds,
are considered too old. The Sms4Domino instance will be considered as
non operational.
The specified value must be greater than the maximum heartbeat interval +
the maximum time to replicate the heartbeat records through the network.
A negative value disables the heartbeat check. This is allowed for single
instance Sms4Domino architectures.
Default value: 20 minutes
Remote instance notifier Sms4Domino may perform least cost routing of requests for sending SMS
messages (see Instance Routing Rules in this help file). When a mail is
received by instance x, the instance calculates the best route and stores
the route in the document. The document replicates to the other Domino
server where it is picked up by instance y.
In case of Domino clusters this replication occurs within a few seconds . If
Domino clustering is not being used it could take too long to replicate the
info from x to y. The Remote Instance Notifier on instance x may issue a
Domino console command to server x. Typically this command will
replicate the configuration database to instance y.
The configuration of the Remote Instance Notifier consists of a few
parameters
Minimum delay
between commands
In order to avoid overloading the server a minimum delay between
consecutive commands may be specified.
Default value: 5 seconds.
