8 VCOM Installation & Troubleshooting
8.1 Enabling VCOM
SE5416A Series will encapsulate control packets on top of the real data when Virtual COM is
enabled. This will allow the Virtual COM port in the Windows/Linux system to access SE5416A
Series’ COM ports. Remember that VCOM can only be enabled on TCP Server Mode or TCP
Client, Figure 8.1.
