6.2 Audio Settings
6.2.1 Voice Codecs
The phone supports G.711 A-law, G.711 µ-Law, G.723.1 and G.729A voice codecs.
G.711 A & µ Law :
• 64 Kbps
• 8 kHz sample rate, with 8 bits per sample.
• A-law is the standard for international circuits.
G.723.1:
• 5.3 Kbps and 6.3 Kbps
• Voice Activity Detection and Comfort Noise Generation.
• Supports Multi-channel operation and Reentrancy.
G.729A:
• 8Kbps
• Voice Activity Detection and Comfort Noise Generation.
• Supports Multi-channel operation and Reentrancy.
To configure voice codecs, follow these steps:
1. Press the ‘Menu / Delete’ button to enter the phone menu.
2. Scroll down and enter ‘Settings’.
