 Have the cutting blade sharpened or replace it
 Trim the grass in several passes.

 Cutting thread too short/broken.

 Follow up the cutting thread.
 Trim the grass in several passes
Cutting thread is not

 No more thread on the spool.

 Replace the thread spool.
