Selection Function
Some discs may not support the aspect ratio you select. For example,
selecting letterbox for a disc that contains only 4:3 data will not provide
letterbox playback.

Aspect Ratio
This option lets you make selections in the controls listed
below.
Aspect Ratio Sets the default aspect ratio for all DVD content using
DVD.
Fullscreen
The movie fills the entire screen, regardless of desktop or
movie resolution.
Letterbox
Shows a 16:9 movie on a desktop with 4:3 aspect ratio.
Black bars appear at the top and bottom of the screen to
fill the remaining space.
4:3
Shows a 4:3 movie on a desktop with 16:9 aspect ratio.
Black bars appear on either side of the screen to fill the
remaining space.
Known DVDs By clicking the Add button while a DVD disc is inserted,
you can add this disc to a list, and set a custom aspect
ratio for this title only.
Click the Aspect Ratio button beside the desired title
entry in the list to select an aspect ratio from the pull-
down menu.
• In the future, if possible, DVD will play this title using the
aspect ratio you selected.
To remove a title from the list, select it, and then click
Remove.
