Installing Enhanced Drivers for Windows

With Windows
®
95 or Windows
®
98 running on your computer,
you need to install the enhanced ATI drivers to take advantage
of your card’s higher performance, resolutions, and special
features. To ensure that you install the latest drivers, install the
ATI enhanced drivers located on the CD-ROM shipped with
your graphics accelerator card.
To install the ATI enhanced drivers
for Windows
®
95 or Windows
®
98

Insert the ATI INSTALLATION CD-ROM into your
CD-ROM drive.
If Windows
®
runs the CD-ROM automatically, proceed to
step 6.

Click
Start
.

Select
Run
.

Type the following:
D:\ATISETUP
(If

is not your CD-ROM drive, substitute

with the
correct drive letter.)
Notes
Close all open applications
before installing
your ATI software.
Before installing the ATI enhanced drivers,
ensure that any previously-installed ATI display
drivers have been
removed
from your system.
To do this:

My Computer
, double-click
Control Panel
,
then double-click
Add/Remove Programs
.

. Click
ATI Display Driver
, then click
Add/Remove
.
Always use the
latest version
of the ATI
Installation CD-ROM to install ATI display
drivers and multimedia software.
The last three digits of the CD part number
represent the version — a higher number
indicates a later version.
All ATI Installation CD-ROMs include a
complete set of display drivers and multimedia
software.
