7.5 Configuring Output Parameters for Alarm Annunciation –
1ZC and 16C Only
7.5.1 Choosing the Alarm Action
The first step in configuring an output to be used for alarm annunciation is to choose the
alarm action. The choices are:
• OFFOFF (off) – The alarm output will not be used.
• nornor (normal) – The output will go to the alarm state when the process value
triggers the alarm and go out of the alarm state when the alarm condition has
been cleared.
• LatLat (latching) – Once the output goes to the alarm state, the output will
remain in the alarm state until the operator presses the key, even if the
alarm condition has been cleared before the operator presses the key.

Used to choose the function of the alarm output.

Parameters:
If off is chosen, then no other output alarm parameters are
displayed.
