The CN8600 KVM over IP provides “over-IP” capability to Single Link DVI KVM switches that donot have built
in over-IP functionality. It allows local and remote operators the ability to monitor and access their entire server
room using a web-based browser. It also gives flexibility and convenience by offering a laptop USB console
connection to monitor and access computers locally. To ensure connectivity, the CN8600 is equipped with dual
LAN/dual power functionality that keeps operations to the server room- stable, smooth, and efficient.
A mini USB port on the rear panel serves a dual purpose as Virtual Media port and Laptop USB Console (LUC)
port. No additional monitor, keyboard, or mouse is required locally for routine maintenance-simply use the LUC
port to connect a laptop and access any computer connected to the switch for easy on site management.
The CN8600’s Virtual Media function allows a user to perform diagnostic testing, file transfers, or apply updates
and patches to the OS and applications from a remote console. There is no need to physically load a CD directly
into a server to perform tasks locally– allowing you to troubleshoot and resolve problem sat the BIOS level up,
from anywhere.
Recognizing that many applications and operations require audio functionality, the CN8600 supports speaker
and microphone use locally and remotely.
