The modified sine wave produced by our inverters has a root mean square (RMS) voltage of 110 volts. The
majorityofACvoltmetersarecalibratedforRMSvoltageandassumethatthemeasuredwavef ormwillbeapure
sine wave. Consequently, these meters will not read the RMS modified
sine wa ve voltage correctly and, when
measuring the inverter output, the meters will read about 20 to 30 volts too low.To accurately measureof the
outputvoltage oftheinverter,useatrueRMSreadingvoltmetersuchas a Fluke87Fluke8060ABeckman4410,

• Neverattempttooperatetheinverterfromanypowersourceotherthana12‐voltDCvoltbattery.
• Theinverterisdesignedtobeconnectedtothepowersourcewiththe12voltpowerplug.Donotattemptto
modifythepowercordorplug.

invertertothepowersource,makecertainthattheinverterispositionedfarawayfrom
anypotentialsourceofflammablefumesorgases,

• Whenattemptingtooperatebatterychargers,monitorthetemperatureofthebatterychargerfor
approximately10minutes.Ifthebatterychargerbecomesabnormallywarm,disconnectitfromtheinverter
immediately.

• Whenoperatingtheinverterwithanautomobileormarinebattery,
starttheengineevery30to60minutes
andletitrunforappro ximat ely10minutestorechargethebattery.
• Intheeventofacontinuousaudiblealarmorautomaticshutdown,turntheinverterOFFimmediately.Donot
res tarttheinverteruntilthesourceoftheproblemhas
beenidentifiedandcorrected.
• To avoidbatterydrain,alwaysdisconnecttheinverterwhennotinuse.
• Donotexposetheinvertertorainormoisture.
• Avoidplacingtheinverternearsourcesofheatorindirectsunlight.
• Whileinuse,makesuretheinverterisproperlyventilated.
• Donotoperatetheinverternearflammablematerials,fumesorgases.
