Operation
ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES AND GLOVES
First, refer to your vehicles manual for any specifics regarding changing your struts or springs and follow
ALL of the manufactures recommendations.
Lubricate both main shafts (B) with oil
Align the hooks (A & D) with the safety pins © backed off so the hooks will fit over the spring.
Position both sets of hooks 180˚ apart, opposite each other (as shown in FIGURE 1).
Push safety pins (C) in the lock position on hooks (A & D)
Using a ¾” or 19mm socket and ratchet, turn the main shaft (B) to compress the strut spring enough to
safely remove the fastener nut holding the cartridge. IMPORTANT - Turn the main shaft (B) of each side
a few turns at a time to ensure equal pressure on each side of the spring. DO NOT COMPRESS
SPRING UNEQUALLY – SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH COULD OCCUR.
