Don’t expose to rain. Keep work area well lighted. • Keep children and bystanders away.
Operation • ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES AND GLOVES • First, refer to your vehicles manual for any specifics regarding changing your struts or springs and follow ALL of the manufactures recommendations. • Lubricate both main shafts (B) with oil • Align the hooks (A & D) with the safety pins © backed off so the hooks will fit over the spring. • Position both sets of hooks 180˚ apart, opposite each other (as shown in FIGURE 1).
Maintenance • Wipe off components of the MacPherson Strut Spring Compressor of all grease, rust and dirt. • Store all components in the Case, and place in a clean and dry location. • Keep both shafts (B) lubricated with oil • Inspect tool before and after each use. Replace tool if any parts are damaged. There are no user serviceable parts available for this unit.
