Action: To test for this, re-desorb the tube and check for
carryover.
Cause: High-boiling compounds are condensing
somewhere along the flow path.
Action: Verify that the temperature of the flow path is
sufficiently high to prevent condensation of
high-boiling compounds. Use only deactivated,
uncoated fused silica in the transfer line.
