6. Place a clean and empty glass or stainless steel tube into
Position 1 (see the following figure) of the carousel and
press the OK button. The empty tube will now be
uncapped and loaded into the desorption position.
Carrier gas at 50mL/min will be passed through the tube
but no flow will be passed through the trap.
