The WebUI displays “Login to
target device failed.”
The software version of the
device you are currently
logged into is no longer
compatible with the software
version of other devices
within the network.
1. As administrator, log into the WebUI using the IP address
of the device that caused the problem. Click Device
Management, then Update Device in the WebUI
navigation menu at left.
2. Click . The selected device updates its
software and reboots.
3. After the device reboots, check the software version
number on the device to confirm that the upgrade was
successful.
On the Deskset, press MENU –> Deskset
Information –> P Firmware Ver.
On the Gateway or ATA, press the key to
access the Main Menu. Then select Device
Information, then Software Version.
The device to be updated is
unplugged.
A device is unplugged; verify that the device is
powered up.
The device to be updated
has failed to synchronize
with the system.
Verify that the other device says Synchronized. If it does
not, refer to “Reintroducing a Deskset Into the System” on
page 244 or “Reintroducing a Gateway or ATA Into the
System” on page 246.
