Connecting a Fax Machine
 To install a fax machine:
1. Remove the plastic covers from the FXS 1 or FXS 2 (telephone) port to be used on the ATA.
2. Plug a telephone line from the fax machine into the ATA FXS 1 or FXS 2 port, as shown in Figure 40.
3. Configure the fax connection in the WebUI.

If you are connecting your fax machine to the ATA and your Synapse system uses a trunk prefix, such as 9, you should
inform users that they need to dial the trunk prefix when sending faxes.
