Handset displays “Deskset in
Use” when trying to make a
new call.
When the Deskset is on a call,
you must switch the Active Call
to the Handset before making a
new call.
Press PHONE on the Handset.
The Handset asks if you wish to switch the current
active call to the Handset.
Press on the Handset to take the call on the
Handset. Continue the call, or end it to make a new
call.
Handset continuously
displays “Searching for
Deskset…”
The Handset is out of range or
not registered.
Check if the Deskset is powered and fully functional.
If the Deskset is not on, the Handset will not work.
You may be out of range of the Deskset. Try moving
closer.
The Deskset may have deregistered the Handset
when undergoing upgrades or being reset. If so, then
repeat the registration process. (See “Handset
Registration” on page 31).
Cannot find a way to activate
Call Forward or Do Not
Disturb.
These functions can be enabled
only on the Deskset.
To activate Call Forward All or Do Not Disturb (DND),
press or on the Deskset while in
Idle mode.
