Setting the Number of Rings

You can set the number of times a call will ring before the CLASSIC MAIL system will

answer it. This setting can be different for normal business hours (day) and off hours

(night). You can also set a particular line always be answered after a set number of

rings.

Setting the Number of Rings Before an Outside Call Is Answered

Initially, the CLASSIC MAIL system is set to the business hour (day) mode. Day mode

is set to allow a call to ring four times before the call is answered by the answering

service answers.

To change the number of rings:

Enter administration mode.

2. To change system parameter

3. To set the number of rings

4. To set the day rings

OR to set the night rings

A message regarding the current setting followed

by instructions for changing the setting plays.
