Deciding if the expanded installation configuration is best for your business requires
that you estimate how much you will use your CLASSIC MAIL system. Often the
amount of usage is determined by the type of Merlin you have. See Table 4B.

If you have a two-port CLASSIC MAIL system installed with a Merlin Control Unit
with five to eight outside lines, or if your employees let messages accumulate for long
periods before listening to them, you should consider the expanded installation.
If you have a two-port CLASSIC MAIL system, and find that it is often busy when
you try to retrieve your messages, or if it is often too busy to answer incoming calls,
you should consider switching to expanded installation.
