FCC Information
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device,
pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection
against harmful interference when equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This
equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used
in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communica-
tions. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in
which case the user will be required to correct the interference at their own expense.
This device has been granted a registration number by the Federal Communications Commission
under Part 68 rules and regulations for direct connection to telephone lines. In order to comply with
these FCC rules, the following instructions must be carefully read and applicable portions
followed completely.
1.This equipment complies with FCC Part 68 rules. On the back side is a label that contains the
FCC registration number and ringer equivalence number (REN) for this equipment. If requested,
this information must be provided to the telephone company. The REN is used to determine the
quantity of devices which may be connected to the telephone line. Excessive REN’s on the
telephone line may result in the devices not ringing in response to an incoming call. In most, but
not all areas, the sum of the RENs should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of
devices that may be connected to the line, as determined by the total RENs, contact your telephone
company.
2. The modular jack types used by this equipment are RJ11 and RJ45. This equipment contains
no user serviceable parts,
3. If this equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company will notify you
in advance that temporary discontinuance of service may be required. If advance notice is not
practical, the telephone company will notify you as soon as possible. You will be advised of your
right to file a complaint with the FCC if you believe it is necessary. This equipment contains
circuitry that will temporarily "make busy" some of your telephone lines. Some telephone
companies have policies discouraging the use of make busy circuits. Contact your local telephone
company for an explanation of their current policy.
4.
The
telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, operations, or
procedures that could affect the operation of this equipment. If this happens, the telephone
company will provide you advanced notice in order for you to make the necessary modifications
in order to maintain uninterrupted service.
5. This equipment cannot be used on public coin service provided by the telephone company.
Connection to party line service is subject
to
state tariff.
