Merlin Control Unit Compatibility
There are many different models and versions of Merlin Control Units. The
CLASSIC MAIL system is designed to work with the most common. These models
are:

Merlin System 206, all versions
●
Merlin System 410, all versions
●
Merlin System 820, all versions
●
Merlin System Plus, all versions
●
Merlin System 1030, or 3070, with
Feature Modules 1, 2, 4, or 5
Note: The CLASSIC MAIL system will not work with Merlin 1030/3070 Feature Module 3
Other models of Merlin Control Units may not work properly with the CLASSIC
MAIL system. Non-Merlin Control Units will not work with the CLASSIC MAIL
system.
Notes: For the CLASSIC MAIL system to properly operate with a Merlin 1030/3070 Control Unit, you
must install the CLASSIC MAIL System Control Unit Upgrade Kit. If you have a two-port CLASSIC MAIL
system, you must expand it to four–port operation before installing a CLASSIC MAIL System Control Unit
Upgrade Kit. Consult your CLASSIC MAIL system dealer for details.
The CLASSIC MAIL system is designed to operate only with Merlins systems set to use tone (DTMF)
signaling. The CLASSIC MAIL system will not work with Merlins systems set to use rotary signaling.
