The 4400-Series Telephone
Family
3
The 4400-Series consists of the following models:
■ 4400
■ 4400D
■ 4406D+
■ 4412D+
■ 4424D+
■ 4424LD+
The “+” sign after a model indicates that the telephone has a speakerphone.
The “D” indicates a two-line display, while “LD” stands for “large display,” the
seven-line display. All telephones are two-wire digital telephones.
Like the MLX telephones, each 4400-Series telephone uses two logical IDs,
even though no MFM or adjunct can be attached to the 4400-Series telephone.
The MERLIN MAGIX system can accommodate up to 200 4400-Series
telephones.
4400 3
The 4400 telephone is a single-line telephone without a display. It functions
much like an analog single-line telephone.
There are two fixed buttons on the 4400 telephone: Volume and Flash. Press
the Flash button to transfer and hold calls and to create a conference call.
When a single-line 4400 series telephone (4400/4400D) is
replaced with a multiline (4406D+,4412D+,4424D+, 4424LD+), or
vice versa, the button maps are automatically reset to the factory
settings for the new telephone.
