The 4400-Series digital single-line and multiline telephones are designed for
use with Lucent Technologies’ MERLIN MAGIX™ Integrated System. The
4400-Series includes display and non-display telephones and a 24-button
model that can serve as the system programming console. Most of the
instructions for the use of these telephones appear in the 4400 and 4400D
Telephone User’s Guide and the 4406D+, 4412D+, 4424D+, and 4424LD+
Telephone User’s Guide.

■ Read and understand all instructions.
■ Follow all warnings and instructions marked on or packed with the
product.
■ This product is intended to be installed and serviced by qualified
service personnel only. Do not disassemble this product. There are
no user-serviceable parts inside.
■ Never push objects of any kind into this product through cabinet
slots, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or may short out
parts, which could result in a risk of fire or electrical shock.
■ Never install telephone wiring during a lightning storm.
