Payload Loopback 4
This test loops the T1 interface back towards the network on the
communications system side of the framer. To perform this test, you must first
busy-out the board. From your system programming console, use the following
sequence to access the Payload loopback test.
Menu: Maintenance
→Slot→Slot#→Enter→Demand test→
PayloadLpbk
Bit Error Rate Test (BERT) 4
This test allows you to generate several test patterns and monitor the progress
of the test to see if the pattern being generated is being received back. The
error count and state of the test represents a real-time snapshot of the
information available in dual-port RAM (DPRAM).
For the 100 DCD module, you can choose to run a BERT for all the channels or
for individual channels. For the 100R INA module, you can run a BERT only for
all the channels.
From your system programming console, use the following sequence to select
the BERT for all channels.
Menu: Maintenance
→Slot→Slot#→Enter→Demand test→Bert
test
→All→QRSS or 3 in 24 or All zeroes or All ones.
From your system programming console, use the following sequence to select
the BERT for an individual channel.
When this test is activated, the far end generates the test pattern using
the built-in BERT Tests or other data-generating equipment.
