Tests 4
Three new Tests apply to both the 100R INA and 100 DCD modules:
■ Line loopback
■ Payload loopback
■ Bit Error Rate Test (BERT)
Three other tests have been added specifically for the 100 DCD module:
■ Data-channel loopback
■ Data terminal loopback
■ Data port local loop
Line Loopback Test 4
This test loops the T1 interface back towards the network on the network side
of the framer. To perform this test, you must first busy-out the module. From
your system programming console, use the following sequence to access the
Line loopback test.
Menu: Maintenance
→Slot→Slot#→Enter→Demand test→LineLpbk
If you have not busied out a module when the test requested needs to
have the module busied-out, you receive the following error message:
“Failed Slot is not busied out”
When this test is activated, the far end generates the test pattern using
the built-in BERT Tests or other data-generating equipment.
