Backup and Restore Features 4
Like the 100 DS1 module, any programming done on the system for the 100R
INA and 100 DCD modules is backed up and restored. You can perform the
back-up by using the system programming console or a PC running WinSPM,
or via the PCMCIA card. The new administration functions (CSU Activate/
Deactivate, Channel Select, DSU Activate/Deactivate, and Data Port
Parameters) are backed up and restored by the MERLIN MAGIX Integrated
System.
Surrogate Operation 4
You can program the 100R INA and 100 DCD modules through surrogate
mode. The 100R INA module is indicated on the Boards screen by “100R” and
the 100 DCD module is shown as “100 DCD.”
Board Renumbering 4
Table 4-6 shows the results of board renumbering after changing the 100 DS1,
100 DCD, and 100R INA modules.
Programming done via the router is not stored by the system and must
be backed up separately by using the router backup functionality.
