General Feature Use and Telephone Programming
Feature Codes
Feature codes are 1-, 2-, and 3-digit codes that activate features. A feature
code is used by first pressing the dedicated Feature button on MLX
telephones; pressing a programmed Feature button on analog multiline
telephones; dialing # on single-line telephones. Each of these methods sends a
signal to the system that a feature code is about to be dialed. When the code is
dialed, the feature is activated.
NOTE:
Queued Call Console (QCC) system operators cannot use feature codes.
The following features can be used only by dialing feature codes:
Call Pickup
Forward/Follow Me—Cancel One
Forward/Follow Me—Cancel All
Message Cancel
Personal Speed Dial
System Speed Dial
NOTE:
Pressing the Conference, Transfer, Speaker, or Feature button while
activating a feature cancels the process. Pressing any other button, such
as the Mute, HFAI, Message Status, DSS Page, More, Message, Clock,
analog multiline display keys, or analog multiline disconnect button does not
cancel the feature activating process.
Telephone and Operator Features
Table C-1 lists the telephone and operator features that can be assigned to
telephones or consoles via Centralized Telephone Programming or by users
from their telephones.
