Description
Recall sends a momentary on-hook signal called a timed flash, or switchhook
flash. A timed flash is used as a control signal, as follows:
On an inside call, the signal is intercepted by the control unit.
— A multiline telephone user can use Recall to disconnect a call
and get a new dial tone without hanging up. The user can be on
an active call or listening to ringback or dial tone. When the user
is listening to a busy signal, Recall has no effect.
— A single-line telephone user can use Recall to put an active call
on hold and access system features such as Conference and
Transfer.
