Messages settings
1. From the Home screen, tap Messages .
2. Tap Menu > Settings. You can set the following:
General:
• Outgoing message sounds: Enable or disable sounds when sending
messages.
• Notifications: Enable or disable notification icons when messages are
received.
• Sound: Choose your messaging audio alert.
• Vibrate: Enable or disable vibration when receiving messages.
• Wireless Emergency Alerts: View emergency alerts.
Message History:
• Delete message automatically: Enable or disable automatic message
deletion. This feature automatically deletes messages to save storage
space.
Advanced Messaging:
• Advanced Messaging: Enable or disable Advanced Messaging.
• Share read status: Allow others to know when you have read their
message.
• Typing indicator: Show your typing status to others.
• Send images in: Choose the default size in which images are sent.
• Send videos in: Choose the default size in which videos are sent.
SIM card information:
• Advanced: View advanced settings.
• Your phone number: View your phone number.
• Auto-retrieve: Enable or disable the ability to automatically retrieve
and download incoming MMS messages.
• Advanced: View advanced settings.
