Hotspot & tethering
Share your phone’s internet connection with other devices.
Note: Using your phone as a mobile hotspot increases battery consumption
and data usage.
Use your phone as a Mobile hotspot
1. From the Home screen, swipe up to access Apps and tap Settings .
2. Tap Network & internet > Hotspot & tethering > Mobile Hotspot.
3. Slide the Mobile Hotspot switch to the On position to activate the
mobile hotspot.
• Hotspot name: Set the hotspot name.
• Security: Turn hotspot security on or off.
• Hotspot password: Tap to set a hotspot password.
• Turn off hotspot automatically: Slide the switch to the On position to
turn off the hotspot automatically if no devices are connected.
• Turn off hotspot time: Set a timer for the hotspot to automatically turn off.
• Hide SSID: Slide the switch to the On position to hide the mobile
hotspot name.
USB tethering
Share your phone’s internet connection via USB.
1. Connect your phone to the device that you want to share your internet with
using a USB type-c cable before continuing to the next step.
2. From the Home screen, swipe up to access Apps and tap Settings .
