To set the date and date format
• From standby select Menu
} Settings } the General tab
} Time & Date } Date.
• Enter the date and select Save.
SmartChip Lock
The SmartChip lock protects
your subscription. When changing
SmartChips, your cell phone
works with a new SmartChip. If the
SmartChip lock is on, you must enter
a PIN (Personal Identity Number) every
time you turn on your cell phone. If you
enter the PIN incorrectly three times in
a row, the SmartChip is blocked. You
need to enter your PUK (Personal
Unblocking Key). AT&T supplies the
PIN and PUK.
To unblock your SmartChip
1 When PIN Blocked appears, enter
your PUK and select OK.
2 Enter a new four- to eight-digit PIN
and select OK.
3 Re-enter the new PIN to confirm and
select OK.
To edit your PIN
1 From standby select Menu } Settings
} the General tab } Security } Locks
} SmartChip Protection } Change
PIN.
2 Enter your PIN and select OK.
3 Enter a new four- to eight-digit PIN
and select OK.
4 Re-enter the new PIN to confirm and
select OK.
To turn the SmartChip lock on or off
1 From standby select Menu } Settings
} the General tab } Security } Locks
} SmartChip Protection } Protection.
2 Select On or Off.
3 Enter your PIN and select OK.
If the message Codes do not match.
appears when you edit your PIN, you
entered the new PIN incorrectly.
If the message Wrong PIN. appears,
followed by Old PIN:, you entered
your old PIN incorrectly.
