VSI-FAX System Requirements? See Supported Platforms and Equipment
.
Is TCP/IP running on the target host machine, and a properly configured network card installed?

Are you using the proper modem cabling? For detailed information about modem cabling, go to the knowledge
base at http://www.esker.com/support.
Have you stopped all existing processes running on serial ports to which you will connect your fax devices?
Installing libstdc++.so.5 on Red Hat Enterprise 4 or 5
VSI-FAX Server requires that the libstdc++.so.5 library be installed on your Operating System to function properly.
The VSI-FAX Server installation program checks the library version, so you might be prompted to install the
libstdc++.so.5 library during the server installation. In this case, cancel the installation, then install the libstdc++.so.5
library:
For Red Hat 4.0, install the compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.3.i386.rpm RPM package that you can find on the
CD2 in the RedHat\RPMS folder.
