Troubleshooting problems with the Outlook Client
Troubleshooting procedures
When there is a problem with the Outlook Client, you can check the following components:
Mapi account
State of the VSI-FAX server
Forms
Outlook extension
Mapi account
In Outlook, under Tools > Email Accounts > View or change e-mail accounts, verify that the VSI-FAX MAPI account
has been created.
Open its properties and verify that the proper parameters are set.
State of the VSI-FAX server
If the VSI-FAX server is down or not responding, you will get an unclear error message from Outlook:
In this case, restart the scheduler on the VSI-FAX server and make sure that the scheduler stays up.
Forms
If you have a problem opening forms, you can verify that the form was installed in the appropriate location:
In Outlook, select Tools > Options > Other > Advanced > Custom Forms > Manage forms.
