The table below contains the port parameters that are set by default for the VSI-FAX Server
printer:

Note
All other port parameters are empty/unchecked by default.
If you have altered these parameters, you must check that:
• The concatenation of the Base Directory and Directory fields is a valid path that refers to an
existing directory.
• Any directory path that contains spaces is surrounded by " characters.
• The file name/prefix and the file extension field values don't contain one of the following
characters: * . " / \ [ ] : ; | = ,
• If you use environment variables in any fields (for example the Base Directory and/or Directory
fields), you must:
• Check that their syntax respects the following format:
%[<varname>]V
Where <varname> is the name of the environment variable to use (for example TEMP,
TMP or USERNAME).
Tip
For the USERNAME environment variable, you can supply %U instead of
%[USERNAME]V
• Check that the contents of your environment variables are either a valid directory name
or a valid path. To do so, you can either run the set command or check your
computer's advanced settings.
Note
Remember that environment variables defined for a specific user override system
variables.
• If the above properties are correctly set, check that the user has the rights to read and write on the
target temporary folder.
3. If the .pcl file is correctly generated in the relevant directory, you must check that the VSI-FAX client process is
running:
