Chapter 2: ODBC Driver and Installation
Overview 2
This chapter presents an overview of the driver used for the Open Database
Connectivity (ODBC) feature and its function in relation to
CentreVu® Call
Management System
(CMS) data. The second half of this chapter covers
basic installation, configuration, and initialization procedures for the driver.
Server connection procedures for the client are also given.
Procedures are included for personal computer clients,
Solaris clients, and
the
CentreVu CMS server. Troubleshooting tips and OpenLink ODBC Error
Messages are included at the end of the chapter.
All server and client driver components are included on the Call Management
System
OpenLink ODBC Driver compact disk. You will use this disk for both
client and server installation.
If you choose to develop an application for the ODBC driver, Lucent
Technologies cannot provide support for that application, or for any other
third party software or related mapping.
