Connect with a new generation of I/O
technology for limitless possibilities
A professional grade NAS needs to be equipped with a
diverse array of expansion functionality. ASUSTOR has
built in USB 3.0, USB 2.0, eSATA, gigabit Ethernet and
HDMI 1.4b ports along with a high fidelity audio S/PDIF
port, allowing the NAS to connect to different types of
external devices and not be limited to its internal
capacity. ASUSTOR NAS redefines the meaning of
flexibility and expandability in network storage.
4 times the network speed and
increased reliability
The built-in quad Ethernet ports combined with the link
aggregation function, allows your NAS to maintain its
connection even if one of your Ethernet connections fail,
significantly decreasing the likelihood of unexpected
disconnections. Additionally, link aggregation provides
faster transfer speeds than a single connection could, along
with load balancing which automatically balances network
traffic load across the two connections, making it the
optimal choice for users who require high speed reliability.
Enhanced Recycle Bin mechanism
The Network Recycle Bin mechanism is now based on individual shared folders rather than storage volumes. According to
their needs, users can decide whether or not to enable a Network Recycle Bin for each individual shared folder, enjoying
added configuration flexibility. Files that are moved to the Recycle Bin maintain their original directory structure, allowing
added convenience should users need to search for already deleted files. The simple one-click restore function will restore
selected files to their original directory path while conveniently maintaining all properties and permissions settings.
Ideal off-site backup solution
Using the internal backup function allows users to completely utilize the SATA interface’s 6Gbps high speed transfers to
backup data to MyArchive hard disks. No matter if it’s confidential data storage or the archiving of video recording files, all
can be scheduled to be backed up to MyArchive hard disks and then transferred to a secure location for safekeeping, meeting
the goals of limitless expansion and off-site backup.
Online Capacity Expansion
Insufficient storage space forcing you to consider upgrading your NAS to one with more disk bays?
ASUSTOR NAS supports online capacity expansion¹ which means that you can easily swap out all your old disks for higher
capacity ones without turning off your NAS. Now you can increase the storage capacity of your NAS without worrying about
getting an entire new system.
During the capacity expansion process, while your data is being transferred over to the new disks, you will still be able to
access everything on the NAS. Online capacity expansion does not require any advanced IT skills to execute and helps you to
eliminate cumbersome backup and migration procedures. When it's time to upgrade your NAS's capacity, ASUSTOR simply
gets the job done for you without missing a beat.
¹ You must use RAID 1, 5, 6, or 10
High Quality Audio Output with S/PDIF
Turn your NAS into your digital music hub and let ASUSTOR's
61/62 Series devices take your local audio playback to another
level. You can use SoundsGood or iTunes Server to play high
quality digital music from your NAS and further combine it with
S/PDIF high fidelity optical output for an unmatched listening
experience that will truly bring your music to life.
