There is a problem reading the
SIM card.

display the signal strength.
The stronger the signal, the
more bars that appear.
Your phone is on but there is no
signal.
Your phone is on but you are in
an area where there is no
service, or the SIM card is locked
and you have exceeded the
number of tries permitted to
unlock the SIM card (see
“Locking the SIM card” on
page 106).
Your phone is off.
The SIM card is locked. You
need to enter a PIN or a PUK to

A voice call is in progress.
