Turning your Palm

The term smartphone refers to the device
and its physical aspects. The term phone
refers to the wireless feature of your Palm
®
Treo
™
500v smartphone that enables you
to connect to your network operator’s
network so that you can make and receive
calls and send and receive data.
The phone and your smartphone can be
turned off and on separately. This means
you can turn on your smartphone to use
just the organiser features without turning
on the phone.
Turning your phone off (flight mode)
When you turn the phone off, you can still
use the organiser features of your
smartphone. This is sometimes referred to
as flight mode.
1 Press Power and select Wireless
Manager.
2 Select Phone.
3 Press Done (left softkey).
4 Press Tu rn O n (left softkey)
When your phone is off, the phone-off
icon appears at the top of the screen and
Phone Off appears in the upper-left of the
screen. Your phone is not connected to
any mobile network. Although you can no
longer use the phone, you can still use
Microsoft Office apps and all the organiser
features of your smartphone.
