4. Prepare the expansion card.
Before installing an expansion card, read the documentation that came with it and make
sure to make the necessary hardware settings.
5. Align and insert the golden finger connectors of the expansion card to the PCIe slot
connector on the riser card as shown.
6. Align and insert the riser card and expansion card assembly into the PCIe slot on the
motherboard.
The expansion card fits in one orientation only. If it does not fit, try reversing it.
7. Secure the riser card with the screws that you removed earlier in step 1.
