5.4.2 Using shortcut functions
1. Select the device(s) you would like to perform an action on.
2. Click on
Select function
, and select the function you would like to use.
Please refer to the table on the next page for a brief summary of each
function.

Some functions may require you to restart the client device for the changes
to take effect.
Restart Computer
Restart the selected device(s) through RTL8117.
Power OFF
Power off the selected device(s) through RTL8117.
Power ON
Power on the selected device(s) through RTL8117.
Force Power OFF
Force power off the selected device(s) through RTL8117 if they
are unresponsive when logged into OS.
USB Redirection
Shares USB device of device(s) from within a remote desktop
or application through RTL8117.
Set password
Set an encryption password for RTL8117.
Restart Service
Restart the RTL8117 service on selected device(s)
Smart BIOS
Flash the BIOS of the selected device(s) through RTL8117.
Update Firmware
Update the RTL8117 firmware of selected device(s).
Firmware Update will be disabled if 8117-KVM is
Enabled.
Clear CMOS
Clear CMOS for selected device(s) through RTL8117 to reset
them to factory settings.
KVM Enable
Enable KVM for selected device(s).
KVM Disable
Disable KVM for selected device(s).
8117-Trust Zone
Set main server IP addresses which are allowed to perform
RTL8117 function operations on client devices.
