ConnecttheS/PDIFOutmodulecabletothis
connector,theninstallthemoduletoaslotopeningat
thebackofthesystemchassis.
Front panel audio connector (10-1 pin AAFP)
Thisconnectorisforachassis-mountedfrontpanelaudioI/Omodulethatsupports
eitherHDAudioorlegacyAC`97audiostandard.Connectoneendofthefront
panelaudioI/Omodulecabletothisconnector.
• Werecommendthatyouconnectahigh-denitionfrontpanelaudiomoduletothis
connectortoavailofthemotherboard’shigh-denitionaudiocapability.
• Ifyouwanttoconnectahigh-denitionfrontpanelaudiomoduletothisconnector,
settheFrontPanelTypeitemintheBIOSsetupto[HDAudio].Ifyouwantto
connectanAC’97frontpanelaudiomoduletothisconnector,settheitemto
[AC97].Bydefault,thisconnectorissetto[HDAudio].

Clear RTC RAM (2-pin CLRTC)
ThisheaderallowsyoutocleartheCMOSRTCRAMdataofthesystemsetup
informationsuchasdate,time,andsystempasswords.
To erase the RTC RAM:
1. TurnOFFthecomputerandunplugthepowercord.
2. Useametalobjectsuchasascrewdrivertoshortthetwopins.
3. PlugthepowercordandturnONthecomputer.
4. Holddownthe<Del>keyduringthebootprocessandenterBIOSsetup
tore-enterdata.
Ifthestepsabovedonothelp,removetheonboardbatteryandshortthetwopins
againtocleartheCMOSRTCRAMdata.AfterclearingtheCMOS,reinstallthe
battery.
