4.3 Connectors
4.3.1 Rear panel connectors
Refer to section “1.3 Rear panel” for a description of the rear panel I/O ports.
4.3.2 Internal connectors
1. Floppy disk drive connector (34-1 pin FLOPPY)
This connector is for the provided oppy disk drive (FDD) signal cable. Insert
one end of the cable to this connector, then connect the other end to the
signal connector at the back of the oppy disk drive.
Pin 5 on the connector is removed to prevent incorrect cable connection when
using an FDD cable with a covered Pin 5.
We recommend that you connect a high-denition front panel audio module to
this connector to avail of the motherboard’s High Denition Audio capability.
2. Front panel audio connector (10-1 pin AAFP)
This connector supports the front panel audio I/O ports with either legacy
AC’97 or High Denition Audio standard.
