What is the benet of connecting my NAS directly to a computer?
You may connect your NAS to a computer via an RJ-45 cable and use it as an external
HDD for expanding your computer’s storage capacity.
To connect your NAS to a computer:
1. Connect one end of the supplied RJ-45 cable to the Gigabit LAN port at the back of
your NAS.
2. Connect the other end of the RJ-45 cable to your computers LAN port.
3. Manually set your computer IP address to 192.168.0.x (
x is any number between 1 and
254 except 100, 192.168.0.100 is the default NAS IP address
).
NOTE:
You may access the les and folders on the NAS through either of the following ways:
- Use the NAS network folder in Windows® My Computer to access the internal disks.
- Use File Manager included in the Web GUI to access the internal/external disks.
