8.1 FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
This chapter provides solutions to some common problems that you may encounter
when using your NAS.

I cannot turn my NAS ON.
If the LED on the power adapter lights up, check if the front panel lock at the bottom of
your NAS is slid to (locked position).
If the LED on the power adapter does not light up, check if the power outlet is
functioning properly.
Why does my NAS sometimes shut down automatically?
This NAS oers system overheating protection, allowing you to set an upper limit for the
system temperature. Once the system temperature exceeds the specied limit, it shuts
down automatically.
To set the system auto-shutdown temperature:
1. Log in the Web GUI and go to Conguration Center > Maintenance > Events.
2. In the System Overheating Settings area, select the system auto-shutdown
temperature.
Why does the Web GUI sometimes log out automatically?
Check the inactivity timer setting in the Web GUI. If the Web GUI remains inactive longer
than the specied amount of time, it will log out automatically.
To set the inactivity timer:
1. Log in the Web GUI and go to Conguration Center > Maintenance > Password.
2. In the Idle Time Settings area, set the inactivity timer.
