11. Appendix 1 Checking for Extended Memory
Use the following table to check for extended memory or carry out the
software check after the table. The table below gives information on how to
upgrade if you do not have Extended memory fitted.

already have it!
496 to 785 Check for extended memory, it may
have been ordered when the desk was
new, or it may have been subsequently
fitted.
The Extended memory sockets were
tested at the factory when the desk was
new.

2 off 05-03-0600
1 off ECN007
432 to 495 Check for Extended memory. It
definitely was not fitted when the desk
was first shipped from the factory
however, it may have been
subsequently fitted.
The sockets for extended memory will
be fitted, but these were not tested at
the factory when the desk was new.
You can order the parts but if the
memory does not function you may
need to ship your motherboard to
Avolites.
Return your desk,
or motherboard to
Avolites to be
upgraded,

001 to 431 Check for Extended memory. It was
definitely not fitted prior to first shipping
the desk however, it may have been
subsequently fitted

11.1 Software check for Extended memory
With the VDU plugged in and operational
Turn the key to system
Press buttons A, D then D again.
The VDU then displays a memory check screen, firstly the main memory is
checked, then one of two messages will be presented
Main Memory Done, No Extended Memory Found
Or
Checking Extended memory
The messages are self-explanatory.
