7.3.2 Softbutton D [Play]
Enables timer input.
7.3.3 Softbutton E [Pause]
Disables timer input.
7.3.4 Synchronise
This replaces NEXT STEP when a Script File is running. It is especially
useful if the incoming Timecode has jumped past a number of steps which
you do not wish to run, because it causes these steps to be skipped.
8. MIDI
You can now autoconfigure which key on a midi keyboard will control
playback 1. To do this, set up MIDI as normal. Enter SYSTEM mode, then
UTILITIES, then press Softbutton C, Configure a MIDI keyboard. Press the
key on the keyboard.
9. Clock
When setting the time you can now have the option to set daylight saving.
There are differences between countries as to the day clocks change,
however it is always on a Sunday. You give the earliest day in a month
before the Sunday in which you wish the clocks to change on.
For Europe the dates are 25:03 and 25:10
For the USA the dates are 25:03 and 1:11
You are prompted on the VDU for information.
Note: there is a known bug in that in year 2000 the wrong day is computed. This does not affect
any performance either at the year 2000 changeover or in the future and will be fixed, at no cost,
with a software release in the second quarter of 1999.
10. Hidden enhancements and other developments
10.1 Battery voltage check

the voltage has dropped below that required to keep show data a message
is presented on power up.

contact Avolites for details on replacing the battery in the desk.
For this function you must install version AUGUST 98 AVOS. This can be obtained from the WWW
site.
10.2 Graphics tablet
The switch on the stylus has been disabled. This is in preparation for a
future software release, which will have facility placed on this switch.
