4.1.1 Softbutton A Toggle Size
When turned on the timed playback fader level sets the size from zero to the
programmed time when the fader level is at full. This allows fading of size.
4.1.2 Softbutton B Toggle Speed
This works in a similar way to Size but alters the speed parameter.
4.1.3 Softbutton C Toggle Merge
This allows morphing from one shape to another, allowing a smooth
transition between shapes.
4.2 Number of shapes
The number of preloaded shapes has been increased to 120!
4.3 Increasing the number of shapes when loading a show from April 98
software.
If you wish to use the new shapes with a show made with software release
April 1998 you need to do the following:
• Turn the key to SYSTEM
• Press Softbutton G [UTILITIES]
• Place a personality disk containing the new shape file in the disk drive.
• Press softbutton D [LOAD SHAPE FILE]
• Follow on screen prompts.
5. Built in Personality files
Page 27 and 43 of the manual
The console can now store personality files in flash memory. This means you
no longer need to carry around disks so you can patch your show. (Hooray
for everyone except the disk manufacturers!).
NOTE: You can only use the built in files if Extended Memory is fitted.
You still have the option of using personality files from disk. Disk files will be
used if a disk is in the disk drive when you select Softbutton B [Choose a
Fixture] from the patch menu, if no disk is located in the drive the desk will
open the built in personality files.
NOTE: to use built in files, the disk drive must be empty. If there is a disk in the drive you will get the
message, NO FILES FOUND.
5.1 Installing built in Personality files
After upgrading your software you must install the built in Personality files.
Do this as follows:
• Turn the key to SYSTEM
• Press Softbutton G [UTILITIES]
• Place a disk containing the file P2000PER.CMP.
